Ramola Naik Singru is an Urban Development Specialist, Urban Development and Water Division, Central and West Asia Department, Asian Development Bank (ADB) with more than 16 years of international multi-disciplinary expertise in integrated urban development spanning project management, technical advisory services, research, knowledge management and capacity building. She jointly led ADB’s GrEEEn Cities Initiative in Southeast Asia, managing a multidisciplinary team to develop GrEEEn City Action Plans (GCAPs) and Urban Management Partnerships (UMPs) for improving livability in secondary cities in close cooperation with development partners, governments, civil society, and private sector. She has led the formulation of national urban assessments (NUAs) under ADB’s Urban Operational Plan 2012-2020 and received recognition through the ADB Urban Community of Practice (CoP).
She was an Adjunct Faculty of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Program Director for the joint Urban Management Program for Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA) and UN-Habitat. She has authored several publications and policy papers. Ms. Naik Singru holds a Master’s degree in City Design and Social Science (2002) from the Cities Programme, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), United Kingdom; and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Mumbai, India (1997).
