აკადემიური პერსონალი

მაია მიქაშავიძე ჟურნალისტიკისა და მედია მენეჯმენტის კავკასიური სკოლის პროფესორია. ის მედიის და მასკომუნიკაციის მკვლევარი, ჟურნალისტური განათლების და მედიაგანვითარების სპეციალისტია მედიასექტორში მუშაობის ოცწლიანი გამოცდილებით. მაია მიქაშავიძე საქართველოს საზოგადოებრივ საქმეთა ინსტიტუტის (GIPA) ჟურნალისტიკისა და მედია მენეჯმენტის კაგკასიური სკოლის პროფესორი, ერთ-ერთი დამაარსებელი და პირველი დეკანია (2001-2011). მისი ხელმძღვანელობით, სკოლა კავკასიაში ჟურნალისტური განათლების ერთ-ერთ წამყვან ცენტრად ჩამოყალიბდა, დააფუძნდა სტუდენტური რადიო GIPA FM და სადისკუსიო კლუბი "Frontline Georgia ".

მაია მიქაშავიძე ასევე ხელმძღვანელობს ინტერნიუსი საქართველოს რეგიონული მედიის განვითარების პროექტს. ის ასევე პროფესიული განვითარების ცენტრის - "მართვის აკადემიის" თანადამფუძნებელია. მაია მიქაშავიძე “საერთაშორისო გამჭვირვალობა - საქართველოს” მმართველი საბჭოს წევრია, ასევე ჟურნალისტთა საერთასორისო ცენტრის(ICFJ) ნაითის სასტიპენდიო პროგრამის მრჩეველთა რეგიონული საბჭოს წევრი. 2014-15 წლებში ის განათლების ხარისხის განვითრების ეროვნული ცენტრის საგანმანათლებლო პროგრამების აკრედიტაციის საბჭოს თავმჯდომარის მოადგილე გახლდათ, სხვადასხვა პერიოდში თავმჯდომარეობდა განათლების საერთაშორისო ცენტრისა და მას-მედიის განვითარების ცენტრის მმართველ საბჭოებს, საკონსულტაციო მომსახურებას უწევდა აშშ-ს სახელმწიფო დეპარტამენტს, ევროპის საბჭოს, ეუთოს, თავისუფლების სახლს და სხვა საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციების. 2000 წლამდე, მაია მიქაშავიძე აშშ-ს საელჩოს საზოგადოებრივ საქმეთა განყოფილებაში მუშაობდა პრესისა და ინფორმაციის ასისტენტად. მიქაშავიძეს მიღებული აქვს აშშ-ს სახელმწიფო დეპარტამენტის სიგელები და სასტიპენდიო დაფინანსება.
