The only local self-administration graduate program in georgia is school of administration program in georgian language. The program provides a varied curriculum equipping the course participants with the skills that are necessary for effective decision-making, management of existing resources properly and to favor the process of decentralization.
Local administration master program offers:

• evening courses in the georgian language.

• intensive english training in 3 semesters.

• memorandum with the ministry of regional development and infrastructure.

• practitioner lecturers in local self-administration.

The local self-administration school program is the only fully Georgian program in the school of administration, which has been operating since 2002. This program is the only graduate program in Georgia, which carries out training of local self-administration.

Local administration is one of the pillars of the democracy, so effective functioning of the development of self-administration is very important. The program provides a varied curriculum equipping the course participants with the skills that are necessary for effective decision-making, management of existing resources properly and to favor the process of decentralization.

The program aims to establish qualified specialists from public officials, managers, community leaders, to be able to effectively work with both local and central administration authorities and non-administrational sectors.

Besides of Lecture hours academic process also includes practical part. The fourth semester of teaching, optionally, students are encouraged to learn about the work of the various municipalities, to participate and contribute to their daily activities, that helps students to use theoretical knowledge into practice.
The two-year master's program in local administration consists of four semesters:

Every academic year starts in September. Classes are held in the evening hours, from 18:30 to 21:30, which gives the learning opportunity to employed students as well. The program is in Georgian, though there is the Intensive English Language Teaching in the first three semesters. Fourth semester is dedicated to diploma graduate / research work. The learning process also provides for the voluntary training practice in the public, private, non-administrational and international organizations, which allows students to transfer our institute acquired theoretical knowledge into practice.

The program works closely with the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure. Within the program Minister, Mr. David Narmania, is reading the course of the local economic development. Memorandum signed with the Ministry gives the students of local administration program opportunities to participate in research or projects initiated by the Ministry, get involved in the work of the Ministry’s analytical groups, receive training and build up a close connection with the staff of the Ministry. Many of program’s graduates now works at the Ministry.

Tuition fee is 7900 GEL (full program)

Upon the successful completion of the course, participants are awarded a master's degree in Public Administration.

The local administration master program provides theoretical knowledge and practical program of the local administration and self-administration for already working or interested persons. The program aims to establish a qualified specialist from local public officials, managers and community leaders.
