In today’s rapidly evolving media environment, there is a growing demand for professionals who can create diverse multimedia content, critically evaluate information, use modern technologies, and manage media projects effectively.
GIPA’s English-taught Master’s Programme in Multimedia Journalism and Media Management provides students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to meet these demands.
The programme combines professional journalism, multimedia storytelling, media management, and research. Students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience while developing expertise in the technologies and professional practices essential to today’s media industry.
What Will You Learn?
Throughout the programme, students will develop skills in:
- Creating video, photo, audio, and text-based content — from the initial idea to the final product;
- Fact-based and balanced journalistic storytelling;
- Using artificial intelligence (AI) in multimedia storytelling;
- Developing and managing media startups;
- Creating and distributing content for social and digital platforms;
- Finding, verifying, and evaluating information;
- Working with data and conducting critical analysis;
- Understanding legal and ethical issues in the media;
- Applying contemporary methods of media and communication research.
Programme Duration and Qualifications
The programme is structured as a 1+1-year study track.
Upon successful completion of the first year, students will receive a Master’s degree in Journalism. Those who continue for an additional year will receive a Master’s degree in Media Research.
The programme is delivered in an English-speaking and international academic environment, providing students with opportunities to gain practical experience and participate in international exchange programmes.
