On February 21, the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Levan Davitashvili hosted GIPA’s students of Environmental Management and Policy.
The Minister spoke about the importance and necessity of environmental education, as well as the lack of qualified young people on public sector and the challenges in this direction.
The meeting also discussed the importance of academic sector involvement in environmental policy formation and the need to collaborate with GIPA’s Masters Program in Environmental Management and Policy in this regard.
Along with the Minister, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Nino Tandilashvili, Dean of GIPA’s school of Governance Irina Gorgiladze, Director of LEPL Environmental Information and Education Center Tamar Aladashvili and the GIPA Master’s program students of Environmental Management and Policy.
