Head of Department of Rural Development and Vocational Education
Nana Kashakashvili holds a Master’s degree in International Politics from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) and a Master’s degree in English Literature from Tbilisi State University. Since 2013, she has been the Head of the Georgian Rural Development and Vocational Education Department (DRDVE), formerly the Georgian Rural Development Program (GRDP) and then the Georgian Rural Development Department (GRDD). In parallel since 2017, she has been the Head of the Level – V Technical Vocational Education Program in Occupational Safety and Environmental Technologies at GIPA. Previously, she worked as the Coordinator for the National Animal Health Program Steering Group (NAHP SG), a USDA-funded program implemented by GIPA.
Nana Kashakashvili has a diverse professional background including teaching/coaching in English language and English literature at Tbilisi State University and various English language centers. She has also worked for different international and domestic organizations as an interpreter, research assistant and facilitator. Nana served as an International Election Observer in Armenia, USA and Bangladesh. She previously was an Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
