Leadership and Team Building

The main topic of the program is the teamwork culture as the basis for success in any business, whether it is business, politics, sports or art. A well-formed group is an essential foundation of any and great success comes after that.

Imagine a project or an organization in which people know why they need a team and how to create a healthy team climate. Together they create vision, collaboration rules, a psychologically safe environment, take key decisions and create high performance-oriented work dynamics. The sad fact is that most groups cannot cope with various types of dysfunctions and storms.

The program is oriented on managers and human resources specialists with 2-3 and more years of experience in management. It is based on modern concepts widely distributed around the world and rich experience accumulated with local and international organizations operating in Georgia. The program consists mainly of interactive lectures, facilitated workshops, targeted practices and group coaching sessions.

Within the program, we will ask and answer difficult questions concerning team management and leadership:

  • When do we need a team and what does teamwork really mean?
  • How to implement a culture of teamwork based on shared identity and values?
  • How does team dynamics develop and how does the team go to peak performance?
  • What types of dysfunctions do team members and leaders have to deal with?
  • What tools do we value in team performance and how do we use analytics to strengthen our team?
  • How do leaders and HR specialists work in team development?

The program is focused on the experiential learning methodology. Accordingly, participants will go through four key phases during the study process: (1) inclusion in unique experiences, (2) reflection, (3) generalization, and (4) transfer to a real work context. As the final product, the participants will create a LEADER PORTFOLIO. The portfolio will represent a unique adventure of a teaming a newly created group or transforming an existing one. The key aspects of the leader's portfolio are:

  • Reflexive diary;
  • Team profile and interpersonal referrals;
  • Team needs analysis;
  • Team Code: vision and goals, values and norms, roles and competencies;
  • Plan to improve team performance: motivation, competencies, environment.

As a result of completing the program, participants will be able to:

  • Characterize high performance team and its development phases;
  • Plan team empowerement cycle based on the needs analysis results;
  • Acticate individual leadership styles and approaches in team management and tranformation;
  • Use modern terminology in communication (both, English and Georgian)

Finally, the successful participant will be able to improve the performance of the working group even when members are completely "strangers" to each other. It is important that the participant will improve its performance in three main roles:
