The Very First Professional Program in Georgia

The Training and Consulting Center (TCC) of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) is pleased to announce a call for applications for the Certificate Program in Human Resource Management.

 

Program Overview:

Participants will acquire new and modern perspectives on human resources management. The program aims to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the role and function of the HR business partner. This, in turn, contributes to organizational development, providing a competitive advantage to businesses. The course emphasizes collaborative skills, fostering a healthy workplace environment.

The program is practical, allowing participants to develop and maintain various HR systems for organizations, including:

  • Selection and hiring of employees
  • Position ranking system
  • Professional development of employees
  • Employee evaluation system
  • Salary and benefits system

Teaching is interactive and involves active participation. Participants will have the opportunity to plan and analyze real HR projects. After each block they will present specific projects/presentations, culminating in a final project at the end of the course.

This course is designed for professionals already employed in the field of human resources management seeking to deepen their knowledge and skills.

  • Job Descriptions and job analysis methods
  • Importance of the system of grades (ranks) and methods of development
  • Categorization of positions and development of the concept of professional development
  • Basics of creating a salary budget based on salary data
  1. Performance Appraisal and HR Surveys
  • Multi-component employee evaluation systems (Performance Appraisal)
  • Linking research data to the strategic plan
  1. Compensation and Benefit System
  • Fundamentals of administration and basic regulations.
  • Management of basic documents and their administration
  • Basic principles of compensation calculation (Payroll)
  1. Labor Code of Georgia
  • Specifics of Georgian legislation regulating labor-legal relations in the process of human resources management
  • Internal organizational specifics in the human resources management process
  • Ways and methods of resolving labor disputes

Duration: 4 months (including final project)

Training Sessions: Four times a week, from 19:00 to 22:00 on working days and from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays.

Language of Study: Georgian

Materials: Provided in Georgian and English languages

Total Cost: 2000GEL

Payment Schedule:

I Installment - 1000 GEL (due after 1 week of study)

II Installment - 1000 GEL (due in the second month of study)

Individual Discounts:

  • Graduates of GIPA - 10%
  • Family members studying on the same program at the same time - 10%
  • Corporate Discount:
  • Two or three employees - 10%
  • Four employees - 15%
  • Five or more employees - 20%

Note: Each individual is eligible for one type of discount per program.

Payment Instructions:

Installments should be made to the organizational account with the participant's Personal ID number and the program name included in the payment order.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded a Human Resource Management Certificate. Certificates are graded and vary according to the participant’s achievements. Prerequisites for receiving the certificate include:

  • Receiving a minimum, positive score in each subject
  • Preparation and presentation of the final, individual project

Interested applicants should complete the registration form.

Registration Deadline: March 10, 2024.

Interviews with the selection committee will be conducted after March 10. Selected candidates will be notified via email or mobile.

  • Communication skills
  • Working experience

Knowledge of English (level B2) is preferable.
