On November 16th, GIPA signed the Memorandum of cooperation with European Union Project “Mayors for Economic Growth”.
European Union’s Initiative “Mayors for Economic Growth” (M4EG) was initiated in 2017 in Eastern Partnership (Eap) countries and aims to assist mayors in succeeding economic development and creating new job opportunities. The M4EG Central office in Tbilisi is responsible for implementing the project, the office also has coordinators in % Eap countries.
GIPA is the only institution in Georgia that gives students the opportunity to get involved in European Union project M4EG; trainings by European experts are being offered to them which will assist them to raise qualification and use theoretical knowledge in practice. At the last stage of the project the students will work with the local municipality representatives, chosen by themselves.
Memorandum was signed by rector of GIPA, Maka Ioseliani and M4EG team leader Peter R. Korsby.
