GIPA hosts meeting with Salome Zourabichvili

On October 24th, GIPA hosted independent Presidential Candidate, Salome Zourabichvili. She talked about the crucial phase of our country’s development, the entitlements of the future president of Georgia and Presidential role in Society – in terms of social, economic, environmental and healthcare matters. She underlined that her choice - to run for the President of Georgia, was determined by President’s role in society, that aims strengthening civil society. 

The Presidential candidate, also talked about the precise management of the process, after Georgian students, who gain their knowledge abroad, get back to their country or stay abroad. “If a person stays in another country, it doesn’t mean that we should stop communicating with them”.

Salome Zourabichvili said that innovated projects accomplished by youth is a very important issue for her and that she would like to strengthen the assistance of youth education in Georgia, under the frames of Reserve Fund of the President of Georgia, even in a symbolic direction. “The Country, where youth initiatives aren’t appreciated, is what the society lacks the most. The state needs new blood and initiatives and I plan to support them”.

The Meeting ended in a question-answer regime and the students had the opportunity to get the answers about the matters they were referring to. Salome Zourabichvili closed the meeting cycle with the representatives of the Presidential Elections of Georgia at GIPA.
