GIPA hosts meeting with Zurab Japaridze

GIPA continues to host the Presidential Candidates of Georgia, regarding the upcoming elections. On October 18th, Zurab Japaridze, Presidential candidate of “Girchi” held the meeting with students.

Zurab Japaridze started the meeting by presenting his pre-election program. He talked about the main aspects and prerogatives, granted to the President of Georgia – that are the key areas of his concentration during elections, such as: Rejecting any decisions or proposals, initiated by law making body, that disrupts human liberties, by using constitutional right -Veto and after that presented and defending his position in parliament of Georgia; Pardon the convicts, who are imprisoned for actions that do not violate other persons’ freedom or rights, mainly drug-related crimes; Abolishing duty military service in Georgia and etc.

The Presidential Candidate of “Girchi” focused on reducing the funds of the Presidential Administration and Reserve Fund of the President of Georgia. According to him, it is possible to save 70 Million GEL, in his years of Presidency.

The Meeting ended with a question-answer regime and the students had the opportunity to get the answers about the matters they were referring to. The meeting cycle with the representatives of the Presidential Elections of Georgia continues till 23rd of October.
