From October 5 to 9, the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), in partnership with the Jerusalem College of Engineering (JCE), hosted a joint international workshop on data analytics.
The workshop brought together students from GIPA’s Business Administration program and JCE’s Information Management and Engineering program.
The international educational program combined theoretical instruction with practical group work. Alongside exploring modern approaches to data analytics, participants worked with Large Language Model (LLM) and AI tools, gaining hands-on experience in applying academic knowledge to real-world data.
As part of the workshop, Georgian and Israeli students jointly developed a predictive model to forecast the results of Georgia’s Unified National Examinations. The project was based on data collected by GIPA Professor Nika Abuashvili.
The workshop was led by Dr. Boris Gorelik, representing JCE, and GIPA Professor Nika Abuashvili.
Working on this practical project gave students an opportunity to strengthen their skills in data processing, analysis, forecasting, and teamwork.
