A public lecture on artificial intelligence and digital freedom was held at GIPA

On October 7, GIPA hosted a public lecture by Shane Tews on artificial intelligence, the digital environment, cybersecurity, and digital resilience in society. The event was attended by GIPA students and academic staff.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to an engaging discussion. The audience demonstrated particular interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with discussions focusing on the integration of AI into the academic environment and future challenges.

The invited speaker, Shane Tews, is President of Logan Circle Strategies and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). Her expertise covers digital economy and technology issues, including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, international internet governance, privacy and data protection, the Internet of Things (IoT), and emerging technologies. She has extensive experience working across the public, private, and civil society sectors.

The public lecture was held as part of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia’s Speaker Program “AI and Digital Freedom.”
