As part of the campaign dedicated to the 1,700th anniversary of the Christianization of Georgia, the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) announced a video contest for students in grades 9–12 in April.
The main evaluation criteria for the submitted works included the participants’ understanding and presentation of the historical and cultural significance of Georgia’s Christianization, as well as creativity and individual perspective.
The contest attracted significant interest among students, with participants representing nearly every region of Georgia. A specially established jury, composed of representatives of GIPA’s academic staff and an invited independent expert, selected the seven best submissions.
The winners included students from both Tbilisi and various regions of Georgia. First place was awarded to Nino Kedelashvili (Tbilisi), second place to Lika Kharabadze (Khulo Municipality), while third place was shared by Nini Chigoeva (Mtskheta Municipality).
The contest finalists also included Nino Gamezardashvili, Oliko Chulukhidze, Ketevan ChvintiaShvili, and Giorgi Paseishvili.
Through this initiative, the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) joined the national campaign “What Unites Us”, dedicated to the 1,700th anniversary of the Christianization of Georgia, which is being commemorated across the country through a variety of events and activities.
