An intensive training session was held at GIPA with the support of the U.S. Embassy's University Capacity Building Program (UCBP). The five-day workshop was fully dedicated to discussing current issues in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and LegalTech. The seminars were led by Christian Turner, an Associate Professor from the University of Georgia (USA), and attended by members of GIPA's academic, visiting, and administrative staff.
During the workshops, participants discussed in detail the development of the university's AI policy, the use of artificial intelligence in research activities, and the possibilities of integrating it into course syllabi. Attention was also given to best practices and modern trends in AI utilization within leading American and European higher education institutions.
As a result of this intensive training, GIPA has developed the core principles and a draft project for its artificial intelligence guidelines, which will lay the foundation for establishing a unified institutional approach in the future.
This initiative is implemented within the framework of the University Capacity Building Program (UCBP), funded by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and administered by the American Councils for International Education. The program aims to strengthen the research, administrative, and entrepreneurial potential of Georgian higher education institutions.
