Students of GIPA’s Bachelor’s Program in Audio-Visual Arts, Nini Amashukeli, Anutsa Abuladze, Tsotne Kavelashvili, and Demetre Tsuladze participated in an international student festival. The event took place from March 25 to April 2, 2026, in Mechelen, Belgium at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and was implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ program.
Within the framework of the festival, 60 students from universities of Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Georgia, and Germany were brought together in international teams. In a short period of time, participants developed ideas, wrote scripts, and ultimately produced 12 group films.
GIPA professors, together with local mentors, guided the students through every stage of the filmmaking process from the initial concept to the final presentation.
During the festival’s closing ceremony, winners were announced in various categories. GIPA students received two of the five major awards. In particular, Nini Amashukeli was recognized in the category of Best Cinematography, while Anutsa Abuladze won the award for Best Co-Screenwriter.
Working intensively on films in a multicultural environment provided students with valuable professional experience and meaningful opportunities for international collaboration.
