An open panel discussion on pressing issues of contemporary international politics was held at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA). The event was organized by the joint Master’s Program in Political Science - Policy, Integration and Governance (PoSIG).
The topic of the discussion was: “The New World Order - The Ongoing Conflict in the Middle East - A New Normal or an Exception?” Professors Bakur Kvashilava and Tornike Sharashidze from GIPA, along with Professor Reinhard Heinisch from the University of Salzburg, delivered insightful presentations.
The discussion focused on several key issues, including the geopolitical significance of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, challenges to international law and the global security architecture, and the potential consequences of current conflicts and wars.
The event was attended by representatives of the academia, students, and other interested participants.
GIPA continues to organize similar academic and public discussions, contributing to a deeper understanding of contemporary global challenges and encouraging student and public engagement in discussions on critical international issues.
