As part of the ongoing ETHICS project, a comprehensive new glossary has been developed by GIPA – Georgian Institute of Public Affairs to enhance both the understanding and awareness of Research Integrity. The newly published list compiles all relevant abbreviations, terms, and definitions in the field.
Because many of these specialized concepts previously lacked official definitions in Georgian, some of the provided translations represent pioneering attempts to adapt this terminology into the Georgian language. Moving forward, the ETHICS project is seeking feedback and consensus from the local academic community to refine these terms. Establishing a shared, widely accepted vocabulary will foster a greater sense of ownership among local scholars and ensure these concepts are seamlessly integrated into the project's future communication strategies.
We remain completely open to critical feedback from the academic and scientific community, and we welcome all recommendations to further refine the definitions presented in the ETHICS Glossary
