On February 25, 2026, the joint international creathon titled “Truth in the Age of AI” officially kicked off, based on GIPA’s BA Program in Business Administration and Digital Marketing and organized in partnership between GIPA and Leiden University of Applied Sciences (LUAS).
The project brings together 40 Georgian and 40 Dutch students who will work on assessing the impact of fake news, disinformation, and artificial intelligence in contemporary society.
The objectives of the creathon are to:
- Analyze the impact of fake information across various sectors (healthcare, economy, politics, and social issues);
- Critically examine the role of artificial intelligence;
- Develop practical recommendations aimed at reducing the negative impact of disinformation and AI.
Each creathon session lasts two hours and includes teamwork, analytical discussions, and practical assignments. Specialized organizations in the field will also be involved through short thematic workshops.
The creathon is not merely an academic activity — it represents a unique platform for international collaboration, critical thinking, and tackling real-world challenges. In addition to earning academic credits, participants will receive certificates, and the Georgian members of the winning team will travel to Leiden University for an official visit.
