The new joint Master’s program in Political Science (PoSIG) has obtained Georgian recognition of Austrian accreditation. This is the first program of its kind in the South Caucasus, and GIPA stands at the forefront of this innovation. It is noteworthy that, the PoSIG program has undergone accreditation following the European approach (Bologna Declaration, Yerevan 2015).
The Joint Master’s Program “Political Science – Integration and Governance (PoSIG)” unites 11 universities, providing a unique and well-rounded education. Accordingly, students can choose their preferred mobility options and spend each semester at a different partner university. Graduates will receive a joint Master’s degree, awarded simultaneously by a minimum of two and up to four universities, depending on the student’s selected mobility path.
Consortium members contribute to the program by integrating their academic profiles and offering courses in the following areas: comparative politics, European integration, international relations, public policy and administration, and political theory.
In addition, the consortium members from Austria, Italy, the Western Balkans, and the South Caucasus provide specialized academic expertise on the political developments of these regions, particularly on the transformation and Europeanization processes in the Western Balkans and South Caucasus.
The program is available to young people interested in English-language Master’s studies and aims to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers in all areas of political science. This unique opportunity enhances academic qualifications and strengthens international career prospects.
Enrolment in the program will be available starting from February 2026.
