On 18nd of January, 2020 Training and Consulting Centers structural unit Teaching Excellence Center (TEC) of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA)conducted a training “Inclusive Environment Management and Individual Approach in Teaching” at Frontline Georgia. TEC provides short-term trainings for Universities academic and invited staff in different directions and aims to improve their teaching methods and professional development according to their needs and requirements.
The training “Inclusive Environment Management and Individual Approach in Teaching” was delivered by trainer – Maia Bagrationi-Gruzinski. The purpose of the training was to provide academic and invited personnel with the knowledge based on which they will be able to discuss about students with disabilities and / or special educational needs; How to plan the learning process taking into account the characteristics of students with different educational needs; What services are available to students with special educational needs in Georgia's educational context, how to select and provide relevant services. At the same time, participants acquired basic practical skills in communicating with people with different needs / students.
The training was conducted in interactive format, which was loaded with practical examples.
