Brief Overview of Professional Experience:

Dr. Roman Kharbedia, Ph.D. in Economics and Associate Professor, possesses a comprehensive background in higher education and research spanning 45 years. His career is deeply rooted in scientific-research institutions, focusing on theoretical economics, Georgian economics, non-traditional economics, and regional economics.

Since Georgia's independence, Dr. Kharbedia has been actively involved in the country's economic reform processes. Notably, he served as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of the Republic of Georgia, particularly in the realm of local self-governance.

With a prolific publication record, Dr. Kharbedia has authored over 20 scientific research articles. For a quarter of a century, he has contributed significantly to research within the framework of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences. Additionally, he has served as an opponent for more than 25 dissertation defenses and has participated in numerous national and international conferences.
