A brief description of the experience
Zakaria Tavberidze serves as an academic assistant in the Sociology Programme at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. His research interests encompass various areas, including education and science, media, community development, community learning, and cultural transformations. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and a second international joint master's degree in Adult Education for Social Change from the University of Glasgow, the University of Malta, the Open University of Cyprus, and Tallinn University. Zakaria has accumulated over a decade of experience in social research while working with prominent Georgian and international NGOs, including Transparency International, Internews, Caucasus Research Resource Centre, and Mercy Corps. Currently, he holds the role of Result Measurement Coordinator at Mercy Corps Alliances Caucasus Programme2. Additionally, in the academic realm, he served as an invited sociology lecturer at Ilia State University from 2015 to 2016.
