Vakhtang Lomjaria is an assistant professor and invited lecturer specializing in economic fundamentals and introductory courses in economics. He currently heads the Municipal Department of Economic Development at Tbilisi City Hall and has been the coordinator for Tbilisi City in the WHO “Healthy City” project since 2023.
In terms of education, he earned his Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Business at Tbilisi State University and holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from a joint program between Tbilisi State University and Speyer University of Administrative Sciences in Germany.
With up to 20 years of professional experience, his background includes roles in both public and international organizations, such as:
- Director of the Tbilisi City Hall Animal Monitoring Agency (2018-2020)
- Advisor to the Government of Georgia on Economic issues (2014-2015)
- Principal Researcher at GIZ
- UNDP Advisor on Coordination Issues.
He is fluent in English and Russian, with Georgian as his native language.
