Shalva Akhrakhadze

Shalva is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA Charterholder) with 15 years of managerial experience and a degree in Business Administration (MBA), majoring in finance. Throughout his career, he has consistently provided clients with valuable information and solutions in finance, establishing his reputation as a trusted financial advisor.

In 2013, Shalva founded the consulting company "Financial Laboratory" LLC and still holds the position of managing partner. His knowledge extends to various areas of finance, including many years of experience in project profitability assessment, implementation of financial standards, financial restructuring, business plan preparation, and other areas. He also held the position of senior financial manager in the insurance and banking sectors.

He has been actively participating in the Accounting Reporting and Auditing Oversight Service (SARAS) Local Financial Reporting Standards Setting and Interpretation Committee since 2019. In this regard, Shalva played a major role in establishing local financial reporting standards for small enterprises. His involvement included the development of illustrative examples and interpretations of these standards, as well as public presentations to raise awareness. Also, since 2021, he has been a lecturer at the American company "Candidate Success", and since 2022, he has been a financial expert at the leading international consulting platform Toptal.com.

Shalva has also made significant contributions to the field of education as an associate professor with over 10 years of experience. Since 2016, he has been invited as a distinguished speaker on financial issues to share his knowledge and experience in various international forums, including in Poland, Germany, and Croatia.

  • Published the article "Tricky Issues of Compounding" in the European Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Research

  • Leading expert on "Strengthening the Capabilities of the Georgian Farmers' Association", funded by UNDP
  • Team leader for the "Agronaut mobile applications spin-off company business plan", funded by USAID (Zrda Activity in Georgia) and Chemonics International Inc.
