Doctor of Economic Sciences (2002), Professor. He has 38 years of academic experience in higher educational institutions, 14 years of experience working in the public sector, specifically at the National Bank of Georgia, and 20 years of involvement in international research projects. The author of approximately 50 publications, he possesses 20 years of experience in macroeconomic and financial sector research, economic policy analysis and consulting, as well as capacity building and training in these fields. Additionally, he has extensive experience in monitoring and supporting the European integration process.
