Grigol Julukhidze holds a B.A. in Political Science (2011) from Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia, an M.A. (2014) from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland, and a Ph.D. (2020) from Caucasus University in Tbilisi, Georgia. His doctoral dissertation examined the impact of Russian propaganda in Central Europe. Additionally, he has completed courses in international relations at Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy, and Pazmany Peter Catholic University in Budapest, Hungary. He also studied Polish language and culture at Jagiellonian University and obtained a certificate in conflict analysis from the University of California, Irvine, in 2011.
Throughout his career, Grigol has collaborated with various public institutions, research centers, and international organizations across multiple countries. He has worked as a fact-checker at NATO in Brussels, interned at the Polish Parliament in Warsaw, served as the director of the Foreign Policy Council, a Tbilisi-based think tank, and was a visiting scholar at the Slovak Foreign Policy Association in Bratislava, Slovakia.
As an academic, he teaches courses such as "Security Studies," "Disinformation and Propaganda," "Contemporary Hybrid Wars," and "South Caucasus: Political Systems and Challenges" at universities in Georgia, Europe, and Latin America. His primary research interests include Central Europe, hybrid threats, information and psychological operations, and the South Caucasus.
Currently, Grigol is an associate professor at Caucasus University in Tbilisi, Georgia, and a visiting professor at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. Additionally, he is a contributor to TVP World.
