İstanbul 29 Mayıs University

Founded in 2010 by the Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV), İstanbul 29 Mayıs University is a private institution in Istanbul dedicated to high-quality education and research in the social sciences, with a strong emphasis on multilingual learning and international engagement.

The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs through three faculties: Arts, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and International Islamic and Religious Studies. Its academic structure includes disciplines such as history, philosophy, psychology, political science, economics, translation and interpretation, Turkish language and literature, and theology, with instruction provided in Turkish, English, and Arabic.

İstanbul 29 Mayıs University is recognized for its small class sizes, strong research focus, and close collaboration with the ISAM library, one of Turkey’s most important research centers for Islamic and Middle Eastern studies.

The university further contributes to Arabic language education and research through ARÖMER, the Centre for Training and Research for Arabic Teaching, the first of its kind in Turkey dedicated to Arabic language instruction and pedagogy.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in October 2025.
