    • Business Management

    GIPA's certificate program in Business Management is tailored for individuals from any educational background who either have their own business, work in various industries or aspire to launch their own startup. The program's aims at teaching fundamental principles of effective business operation and management. Training course is designed and presented by acknowledged lecturers, practitioners and professional consultants, based on modern methods of education and recognized teaching programs.

     

    Program Content:

    1. Fundamentals of Business Management
    • Business strategies
    • SMART concept, SWOT analysis, CSF evaluation criteria
    • Financial management and financial accounting
    • Principles of budgeting
    • Calculation of profitability: IRR, NPV, PAYBACK PERIOD, ROI, cost per unit, price markup, profit margin ROS
    1. Marketing and Sales Management
    • Principles of marketing management
    • Analysis of the marketing environment
    • Business model and competitive strategies
    • Strategy development and implementation
    1. Planning and analysis of financial activities of the organization
    • Financial management of business
    • Financial analysis
    • Fundamentals of financial and managerial accounting
    • Profit and loss statement, cash flow statement and budget
    1. Legislative framework in business
    • Establishment of entrepreneurial legal entities
    • Legal prerequisites for enterprise profit - dividend distribution and relevant judicial practices
    • Legal aspects of contract development and implementation
    • Importance of trademarks, advantages of marks, their use in business activities, protection and relevant court practice
    1. Final project

    Based on the previous modules, the participants will prepare and present the final project.  

    Duration: 3 months (including final project). Two or three times a week, from 19:00 to 22:00 on working days and from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays.

    Language of Study: Georgian

    Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded a Business Management Certificate.

    Prerequisites for receiving the certificate include: Receiving a minimum, positive score in each subject; Preparation and presentation of the final, individual project

    Giorgi Turkia - Full professor in the field of economics. He has 20 years of lecturing experience in business management. He is an expert in business planning and management and provides consultations to government, private and international organizations. He is the initiator of several projects and a specialist of the National Examination Center group. Also, the author of four textbooks in the business direction, including the co-author of the books "Basics of Business" and "Business".

    Nikoloz Abuashvili - Professor of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) School of Management, Doctor of Economics. Has 20+ years of experience in solving business problems and working in private and public organizations. Since 1995, he has been conducting professional trainings and is engaged in academic activities. He gave lectures to students of Free University, Caucasus University, Georgia Technical University and University of Tennessee. He is a founding partner of the company "Business Infrastructure Solutions". His competence is increasing the value of businesses, their health and development, marketing planning and implementation, information technology, project management and personnel development.

    Program cost: 1750 GEL

    Payment schedule: payment is made in 2 installments

    I instalment - 1000 GEL (made at the beginning of the program)

    II instalment - 750 GEL (made during the first week of second month of study).  

     

    Discount System

     

    The program includes individual discounts:

    • Graduates of GIPA - 10%
    • Family members studying on the same program at the same time - 10%

     

    Corporate Discount:

     

    In case of organization covering the personnel development costs, special discounts vary: 

    • two or three employees – 10%
    • four employees – 15%
    • five or more employees – 20%

    *One person is eligible to receive one type of discount per program. 

     

    Payment:   The installments should be made on the organizational account. Personal ID number and name of the program should be included in the payment order.
