Founded in 1992 in Çanakkale, Turkey, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) is a public research university with strong academic roots dating back to earlier teacher-training institutions linked to Trakya University. Located near the historically significant Gallipoli region, the university plays an important role in both regional development and higher education in Turkey.
