What will the constitutional reform entail in regards to human rights?
Vakhushti Menabde, a member of the Constitutional Commission, Associate Professor at Ilia State University Law School and the Head of Human Rights Course at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs will deliver a speech. The State Constitutional Commission was established by the Parliament of Georgia at the end of 2016. The Commission is made up of representatives of constitutional institutes, political parties, nongovernmental organizations and academia. The Commission Working Groups have already finished the first and the second round of meeting and are now preparing for the third round. The speaker will talk about the ongoing processes in the State Constitutional Commission and on the initiatives of the Commission which have been agreed on during the second round of meetings. PROLoG project is implemented by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI), which is financed through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
