Today, on 17 of October, Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) hosted Dr. John Fortier.
Dr. John Fortier is a doctor in Political sciences, US election systems specialist and is director of Bipartisan Policy Center independent project.
The lecture topic was about the US presidential elections. In his lecture he discussed US election history and development of Republican and Democratic parties’ ideology. Also the lecture included how the elections are organized and from how the parties are getting finances for their pre-election activities. Lecturer spoke about the Candidates and their pre-election campaigns. The lecture was attended mainly by the students of MPA (Public Administration Master Program)
