Meeting with the students of GIPA’s certificate programme in Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Care

On 30 May 2016, the students of GIPA’s certificate programme in Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Care met with the officials from the Pharmaceutical Activities Department of the State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities, an LEPL of the Ministry of Labour, Health of Social Affairs of Georgia. The guest speakers of the meeting were Lalli Davitaia – Head of the Division for Legal Circulation of Narcotics and Nana Shashiashvili – Head of the Inspection Division. In the course of the meeting participants discussed various issues relevant to Georgia’s current reality, among those were legal circulation of medications placed under special state control as well as psychotropic and other equivalent drugs, government supervision, quality control and so forth.

The certificate course in Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Care is the joint project of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and the Society Knowledge. The course was launched in 2016 and represents a programme where practicing professionals use modern teaching methodologies and curricula to share their knowledge and experience with the students.
