Davit Macharashvili’s meetings with the students

On 22 April, students of the GIPA’s certificate course in Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Care met with the Head of the State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities at the Ministry of Labour, Health of Social Affairs of Georgia – Davit Macharashvili.

At the meeting, Mr Macharashvili discussed multiple factors of an efficient, timely and accessible treatment, specifically: policies of medicine regulation, quality, efficiency and safety of medicines in Georgia and an efficiently functioning healthcare system. The meeting was concluded with a discussion which raised several important topics, such as: production of medications, clinical studies, activities related to the realisation of medicines, etc.

Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Care certificate course is a joint project initiated by the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and the Society Knowledge. It was launched in 2016 and in the frames of the course, lecturers use modern methodologies and teaching programmes to share their knowledge and experience with the course participants.
