This year, for the first time, the national competition in constitutional law organized by the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Associationhas among its contestants a team comprised of students of GIPA’s bachelor’s program in law.Members of the team, Ana Beridze, Sopiko Shaburishvili were given strong support from the coaches: Vakhushti Menabde and Ketevan Shubashvili.
It is of note that a total of 35 teams from different universities of Georgiaparticipated in the contest. The contestants from GIPA successfully passed the selection stage and were among the four teams to deserve the right to compete in the semifinals. In the course of the competition GIPA’s team played in the roles of plaintiffs as well as defendants.
Ana Beridze and Sopiko Shaburishvili performed extremely well in the contest and deserved high praise from the judges as well as other competing students.
Ana Beridze received a special prize from the German Jury.
