IDFI organized a discussion "Civil Service Reform: Changes and Prospects"

On 27 November 2015, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized a discussion Civil Service Reform: Changes and Prospects. The discussion was held within the framework of the project Strategic Plan Georgia 2020 – Strengthening Public Involvement which was funded by the German embassy and implemented by IDFI.

Among the participants of the discussion were the Member of the Parliament, Khatuna Gogorishvili, Deputy Head of the Public Service Bureau, Maia Dvalishvili and Head of Public Administration department at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, Nino Dolidze.

Presenters talked about the process of reform implementation, its main characteristics, proposed amendments and the reform’s accordance with EU regulations. The second panel discussion analysed the matter of increasing bureaucracy in Georgia. The panelists were: Levan Alapishvili – Lawyer, Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Aleksandre Elisashvili – Member of Tbilisi City Assembly and Iago Khvichia – Lawyer, Founder of the New Political Centre Girchi.
