On 11 May a charity exhibition and sale will be held at Art Avenue (5 Marjanishvili Street) at 18:00. The exhibition will present the artwork of the beneficiaries of the Dayhome for Social Therapy. The event will be attended by Professors of higher education institutions, representatives of government bodies, members of nongovernmental and international organizations and other invited guests. Musical show and other entertainment activities will also be organized alongside the exhibition and sale.
The purpose of the charity event is to give financial support to the beneficiaries of the Dayhome for Social Therapy and facilitate their integration into the society.
Dayhome for Social Therapy operates 8 workshops in which 55 persons with disabilities are working as well as participating in various cultural activities. They are manufacturing the products daily. It is noteworthy that the organization presently experiences financial difficulties. Starting from 2016 the community is left without the funding and faces the threat of having to close down.
