Documentary film created by GIPA’s graduate students from School of Journalism is nominated in one of the biggest international film festival – Hot Docs.
The makers of the 15 minute film How to Cross are SonaKochariani and Marine Kochariani.
The movie revolves around young Lusines who hasn’t seen her relatives for 6 years. Her family lives in a village on the border of Georgia and Armenia. From Armenia Lusine can see the homeland house of her family and relatives that is located in Georgia, near the border of Armenia. Although, the distance between her and her family home is very small, Lusine still has to walk 100 kilometers to visit them.
Hot Docs is an international film festival, which is held every year in Canada for past 20 years, this year the festival will open on April 23rdand last until May 3rd.
