Call for Erasmus+ Mobility Exchanges between
GEORGIAN INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS - GIPA (Georgia)
and
UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI PERUGIA – UNIPG (Italy)
Preamble
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. In specific, it enables students and staff exchange among EU universities and offers exchange opportunities between European and non-European partner universities.
Università degli Studi di Perugia has received funding from the European Commission to support one exchange mobility for students (for Study or Traineeship purposes) and one exchange mobility for staff (for Teaching or Training purpose) from Georgian Institute of Public Affairs To Perugia (Italy).
The present Call establishes the rules and criteria for participating in Erasmus+ Mobility Exchange.
Art. 1 – Destination and Duration of the Exchange Mobility
Students and staff interested in the Erasmus+ Programme can spend a Mobility Exchange at the Università degli Studi di Perugia (Italy) https://www.unipg.it/en/
All mobility exchanges must end within 31st July 2028.

Art. 2 – Who can apply
In order to take part in a mobility exchange period at Università degli Studi di Perugia (Italy), interested students and staff need to submit a formal application to their Home Institution (Sending Institution).
The subject area involved in the exchange mobility are the following:
0310 Social and behavioural sciences, not further defined
0312 Political sciences and civics
0388 Social sciences, journalism and information, inter-disciplinary programmes
Students must be enrolled at their Home Institution in a Bachelor or equivalent Degree Course / Master or equivalent Degree Course, related to one of the above-mentioned Subject Area.
Staff interested in the Erasmus+ Teaching or Training Mobility must have a formal contract of collaboration with the Home Institution, within the above-mentioned Subject Area.
Art. 3 – Financial Support
The selected participants will receive the following financial support:
Travel expenses: € 395,00 (for the round trip for each participant)
Individual support: Student mobility: € 900,00 per month;
Staff mobility: € 190,00 per day for the first 14 days; € 133,00 for additional/travel days
The payment of the financial support (travel expenses plus the total amount for individual support, for the entire mobility period) shall be made by the Università degli Studi di Perugia directly to the participant, no later than 30 calendar days after the starting date of the mobility period (i.e. upon arrival to Università degli Studi di Perugia and official registration of the participant).
Art. 4 – Application Procedure and Deadlines
All applications need to be submitted to the Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Mobility Exchange (or to the office/person in charge, such as Selection Committee / International Area / Mobility Exchange Office) of the Home Institution (Sending Institution: Georgian Institute of Public Affairs).
Students need to submit the following documents:
- Application Form;
- Curriculum Vitae (in English language);
- Motivation Letter;
- Official Grade Transcript from Home Institution;
- Italian language knowledge (A2 level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or English language knowledge (B1 level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Staff need to submit the following documents:
- Application Form;
- Curriculum Vitae (in English language);
- Description of the Teaching/Training activities to be carried out at the Receiving Institution;
- Teaching staff is welcome to teach classes in English.
Deadline for submitting the application for students: 27 February 2026
Art. 5 – Selection Procedure and Criteria
The Selection Committee will be nominated by the Rector.
The submitted applications for Student Mobility will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
- Compliance of the Subject Area available for the Erasmus+ Mobility Exchange (see Art. 2) with the study course programme of the participant;
- Italian/English language proficiency;
- Academic accomplishment;
- Proposed traineeship programme to be carried out at the Receiving Institution stated in the Motivation Letter;
The submitted applications for Staff Mobility will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
- Compliance of the Subject Area available for the Erasmus+ Mobility Exchange (see Art. 2) with the proposed Teaching/Training activities programme to be carried out at the Receiving Institution;
- Academic Curriculum;
- Previous international mobility experience.
In addition to submitting the Application, interested participants might be required to have an interview with the Selection Committee.
Art. 6 – After the Selection
The Sending Institution will send to the Università degli Studi di Perugia the nominations of the selected participants (both students and staff) and will provide them with assistance related to obtaining visas and insurance, when required.
Before the start of the mobility, the Participant, the Sending and the Receiving Institutions will sign the Learning Agreement (for Students) or the Mobility Agreement (for Staff). These documents set out the teaching/training programme to be followed by the participant, define the mobility outcomes, and specify the formal recognition provisions.
The Grant Agreement, which must be signed between the Participant and the Receiving Institution before the start of the mobility, sets out the financial support and payment arrangements to the participant.
Art. 7 – Recognition
The Sending Institution will ensure formal recognition for satisfactorily completed activities of its mobile students and staff and will send the relevant documentation to the Università degli Studi di Perugia.
The document should specify clearly how the Erasmus+ Mobility results obtained during the exchange mobility period have been integrated into the home degree programme (when applicable, grades are converted).
Art. 8 – Final Report
At the end of the period abroad, all students and staff will be required to submit a final report. A further complementary survey specifically on recognition will be sent to the student after the mobility period to assess the quality of the recognition provided.
