GIPA welcomes 2026 with a new achievement. For the spring semester, 97 students will travel abroad to study within the Erasmus+ academic programs. The students will continue their studies for one semester at 33 universities across Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Hungary, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic.
Ahead of their departure, Rector Maka Ioseliani met with the students, provided them with essential guidance, and spoke about the opportunities awaiting them in the upcoming semester. The university also offered students a workshop on stress management and coping with challenges titled “European Semester: Expectations vs. Reality,” led by education expert Paata Papava.
Active participation in international exchange programs is one of the key hallmarks of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. GIPA consistently strives to offer its students the best opportunities, and the university’s involvement in Erasmus+ programs has been growing steadily each year. In 2018, GIPA sent 13 students to European universities, while in 2024 this number reached 109. According to projections for the coming year, student participation in exchange programs will continue to increase, with 97 GIPA students receiving high-quality education at European universities during the spring semester alone.
