Within the framework of the European Commission funded project ETHICS, GIPA participates in the training of trainers

On October 11-12, 2023, Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University hosted a 3-day intensive Training of Researchers and Research Support Officers organized by Ilia State University and conducted by representatives of ETHICS project EU partners. The training was carried out within the framework of the EU-funded Erasmus+ CBHE Strand 3 project, Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS). The training was led by experts from Amsterdam University, Masaryk University, and the European Network of Academic Integrity. The sessions covered topics such as Research Ethics and Integrity, Preventing and Deterring Misconduct in Academic and Research Environments, Reporting and Managing Allegations of Misconduct in Academic and Research Environments, Ethical Approval Systems, Authorship & Publication Ethics – Putting Policies in Place, and The Role of The Research Integrity Officer and Challenges of Generative AI for Research Integrity.

GIPA was represented at the Training of Researchers and Research Support Officers by the administrative Head of Ph.D. Programmes’-Natia Tchigvaria, the Head of the International Relations Department – Ana Gorgodze, a Manager of Quality Assurance Department - Nika Gigauri and programme coordinators.
