On February 21, 22, and 23, 2024, GIPA – the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs – presented a series of training sessions for university academic staff on Research Integrity and Ethics. The training was conducted within the framework of the EU-funded Erasmus+ CBHE Strand 3 project, Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS). The training was supported by the University Teaching Excellence Center (TEC) and was conducted in five cycles via the Zoom platform. Fifty-four representatives of academic staff participated in the training, which was led by the Head of the Research Department, Nani Macharashvili. University representatives became aware of the information about the innovations presented in the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, 2023 revised version, research misconduct and violations of research integrity, Research Ethics Committees’ structure and operational management, as well as details on authorship and publishing ethics.
