Migration and Integration: Challenges and Good Practices for the Development of Inclusive Societies

The Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), in partnership with the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, offers a Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) training module focusing on migration and integration, June 10-21, 2024 in Tbilisi. The module relies on a mix of lectures, problem-based learning exercises, seminars and project work, providing participants with a rich analytical and practical toolkit, assists them with developing a more comprehensive understanding of the diverse political, societal, and administrative challenges associated with migration and integration, and focuses on identifying good practices at all levels of governance. 

Applications are welcome from young professionals working in politics, administration, the public sector, civil society and business who have the mandate to bring about change within their organization.  They must be between the ages of 25-40 and be citizens of either Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Sweden and Ukraine.  Participants do not need to reside or work in one of the program countries, they only need be citizens.   

 

Please note that public sector employees in Azerbaijan and Belarus are not eligible to participate in SAYP activities, either physically or online.

 

Participation in SAYP is free of charge and includes meals, accommodation and travel.
