Seminars Under the “Initiative 50X2030”

On June 28 and 29, a series of seminars took place at the Frontline Club Georgia as part of the "Initiative 50X2030," in collaboration between the Department of Rural Development and Vocational Education (DRDVE) of GIPA and the International Fund for Rural Development (IFAD). The seminars focused on two main topics: "Awareness and Use of Agricultural Data in Georgia" and "Measuring Results for Development."

The primary objectives of these seminars were to promote the utilization of agricultural statistical data in Georgia and enhance the capacity of media representatives to effectively employ such data. Additionally, the seminars aimed to acquaint the participants with the latest methodologies for capturing and adequately measuring the actual project impacts.

The event attracted representatives from various institutions, including the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the National Statistics Office of Georgia, non-governmental organizations, journalists, and students.

The seminars were organized under the financial support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The 50x2030 Team at IFAD and GIPA are working together to develop a data use implementation plan in Georgia to be submitted to prospective donors in the near future.
