Lecture Topic - “Communicating For Development in the Modern Media Landscape”
Andrew Perrin manages strategic communications for ADB operations in Central and West Asia, and leads the Bank’s social media program. Prior to joining ADB in 2008, he worked as a journalist and foreign correspondent in Australia and Asia. His journalism has won many awards, including the Henry R. Luce Award for Editorial Excellence, the Society of Publishers in Asia Award, and the Amnesty International Press Award. He has won Australia’s most prestigious journalism prize, the Walkley Award, and twice been named Australian Geographic’s Magazine Writer of the Year. At ADB, Andrew has a strong record of achievement in strategic and corporate communications, contributing to and influencing project and policy development, and supporting the quality and impact of ADB’s knowledge program through his innovative work in editorial production, marketing and dissemination. Andrew holds a masters in development communications from Malmo University, Sweden.
