Ana Diakonidze is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the Tbilisi State University. Ana holds a master's degree in Social Policy Analysis from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. In 2014 she was a visiting research fellow at King's College London, UK. Ana teaches courses on Sociology of Labour and Introduction to Sociology at GIPA. Ms. Diakonidze's research interests include welfare state change, political economy of labour and employment policies and modern forms of labour (digitalisation of labour).
For the last 7 years Ms. Diakonidze works as a consultant with the European Union, European Training Foundation and the World Bank in Georgia and internationally. Currently she works as the labour market and employment expert at the EU technical assistance program to the Government of
Georgia, which focuses on VET and Employment policy reform.
